Peace & Power is a queer-owned clothing brand that fuses bold self-expression with a rebellious, empowering spirit. Known for designs that challenge norms, like the iconic slogan “DYKES ONLY. Men... who needs 'em?” on shirts and jeans, the brand celebrates queer identities, resilience, and defiant joy. Peace & Power’s clothing offers a platform for visibility and pride, making fashion a tool for self-liberation and empowerment. Each piece reflects the brand's ethos of embracing authenticity, fostering a sense of belonging, and channeling the strength found within the LGBTQ+ community.
The brand was founded by Jasper, a self-taught producer, songwriter, and designer from the Irish Catholic town of Pearl River. Jasper discovered a passion for fashion design during his transition when clothing finally became a vehicle for self-expression. After undergoing top surgery and starting hormones, he experienced the transformative power of fashion, embracing styles that once felt out of reach. Jasper’s journey of self-realization extends beyond design; he also creates music that captures the rage, resilience, and capacity for change within the queer experience. Now based in LA, he pours his creativity into both Peace & Power and his music, uplifting those with similar stories through every design and note.
