Tourmaline House is a Brooklyn-based interior design studio that transforms homes through color, shape, and materials, with a focus on creating spaces full of personality. Founded by Nolen Borne in 2022, the studio’s mission is to curate interiors that are both functional and inspiring. Nolen works with clients to craft spaces that reflect their unique style while optimizing flow, mood lighting, and layout for a more efficient, joyful living experience.
Nolen, originally from rural Wisconsin, moved to New York City in 2015 and began his career in design at Interior Marketing Group, working on projects in some of New York’s most iconic buildings. He launched Tourmaline House after gaining valuable experience as a Senior Project Manager, and now brings his expertise and personal touch to every project. He resides in the Bushwick-Ridgewood area of Brooklyn.
