FATES new york is a jewelry and product design studio founded by Ross Keong in Brooklyn, New York. The brand have gained recognition since the launch in December 2017, including being worn on the 2018 Met Gala Red Carpet and featured in Vogue. With a mission to celebrate all aspects of a person's identity, FATES explores the intersection of gender, race, body, sexual orientation, and culture through their brand, pieces, and the mythic stories that inspire them.
Drawing from the Greek myth of the three Fates who control a person's destiny, FATES questions the influence of others on our lives and invites individuals to own each moment for themselves. Their designs reflect a clean, sculptural aesthetic that invites experimentation and play, with each piece carrying unique stories that become more intricate as they unravel. FATES embraces the beauty of the unexpected and combines cutting-edge 3D printing technology with traditional craftsmanship to create their jewelry while prioritizing sustainability and using conflict-free materials in their production process.
