Inspired by real people's requests, the brand's products are meticulously formulated with potent wild-or-organic elements, mindfully and ethically sourced, reflecting Roots & Crowns' commitment to fostering lasting relationships with nature and its community.
Founder Max Turk, a Jewish queer individual, is deeply passionate about intertwining wisdom from her ancestry, plant medicine, and botanical beauty to create meaningful offerings. Max's personal experiences with the healing power of plants led her to establish Roots & Crowns during her pursuit of a Masters in Leadership for Sustainability Education at Portland State University. Max successfully manages the brand's rapid growth by blending her academic knowledge with an intuitive craft, ensuring that each product embodies ethical practices and accessibility. With a vision to share the holistic aspects of plant healing and flower magic with the world, Roots & Crowns seeks to empower individuals through its intention: "plant power to the people."
