Do Something: Identity(ies) (DSI) advocates for social justice and the human rights of trans, non binary, and many more non cis people and communities by facilitating access to networks of life saving care and developing a wide range of platforms focused on education, training, and research.
Van Ethan Levy (they | elle), the Executive Director of Do Something: Identity(ies), is a queer, non binary, trans, Egytpian, Jewish, Latine, autistic individual with dynamic disabilities and many more historically excluded identities. With a passion for social justice, they are dually licensed as both a Marriage & Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Van thrives on holding space for people to explore and embrace the full spectrum of their identities.

Description: DSI develops trainings to promote awareness of the ways in which individuals and institutions, often unwittingly, engage in transphobic behaviors/language.
Trainings take shape through interactive workshops with a variety of groups — parents, siblings, partners, professors, corporations, therapists, and non profits.

Description: DSI is building and distributing an app to facilitate access to affirming care that includes a database of affirming, trained providers. In order for a trans, non binary and/or another non cis identity person to gain access to life saving procedures, medications, gender marker changes, name changes and more, a person is required undergo psychological assessment and receive a letter affirming who the person is.

Description: DSI has presented two conferences, one in May 2022 and one in May 2024. Once established with adequate funding, DSI plans to present 4 conferences/year that focus on and feature trans, non binary and more non cis identity(ies) experiences.
