OkaySo is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering LGBTQ+ youth across the United States through its innovative, free mobile app. Established in 2018 by Elise Schuster and Francisco Ramírez, OkaySo's mission is to tackle the challenges of shame, stigma, and misinformation by connecting users aged 16 and above with expert advisors. These experts provide personalized support and information on various topics, including sex, relationships, and identity. By facilitating direct access to trained health professionals and additional support from partner agencies, OkaySo is not only enhancing the well-being of teens and queer youth but also championing a world where every individual can embrace and express their true selves without barriers.
Elise Schuster is a public health expert, youth developer, trainer, and sex educator who loves creating safe spaces where people can be authentic and grow. Elise has a Master's in Public Health and has worked in the field for 20 years. Francisco Ramirez is a sexuality educator and international trainer specializing in sexual health, sexual violence, and DEI. Francisco also serves as a prominent voice in the media on sexual health issues and is dedicated to building a world where we can communicate more clearly about sexual health.
