MW SOAPWORKS
MW Soapworks is a plant-based skincare brand committed to creating natural alternatives to chemical-heavy mainstream products. Rooted in environmental and social justice, the brand focuses on low-waste, eco-friendly self-care solutions that are safe for people and the planet. By sourcing local ingredients whenever possible and partnering with ethical suppliers, MW Soapworks minimizes environmental impact while promoting sustainable practices. Powered by green energy and a solar-powered soap studio, the brand's dedication to sustainability extends to every aspect of its operations. Originally launched as a pop-up business in 2013, MW Soapworks has since grown into a thriving retail store in downtown Bellingham, Washington, where it also highlights products from marginalized and underrepresented makers.
Andrea, the queer and woman founder of MW Soapworks, grew up in rural Custer, Washington, where she developed a deep appreciation for nature and the power of plants. A graduate of Western Washington University with a degree in Environmental Education, Andrea combines her passion for environmentalism and social activism to create skincare products that are both safe and sustainable. She aims to provide toxin-free alternatives that protect waterways and promote healthier communities.
